Our Australian Representatives from all states, flew in and attended the Day Hospitals Australia Conference 2022 in Hobart, with the goal to promote its expansive product lines among new networks.
Day Hospitals Australia is the peak body for the day hospital sector, representing day hospitals within the Australian health care environment by providing information, facilitating communication between members, and actively representing the sector on National and State committees. Each year it hosts a national conference, inviting delegates across the day hospital and medical trade supplier industries to come together and network.
The theme for the 2022 conference was ’Solutions for the Future’, exploring new scope and advancement for the Day Hospital sector – an increasingly important part of the Australian Health Care system. Spanning over three days, the conference included keynote and international speakers, panel discussions and plenary sessions, examining issues facing the day hospital sector today. The conference concluded with a dinner that was enjoyed by all delegates.
Our Office and Business Development Administrator Melanie Ribeiro, Vitramed Regional Manager for NSW Julie Simmons, and Jason Woodward for QLD & VIC enjoyed meeting with industry professionals and trade suppliers to share ideas and innovations.

The Conference provided us with the opportunity to promote our range of medical consumables and devices to new distribution networks, aligning with our corporate strategy to expand our product lines across Australia and into new markets.
Avacare hope to return to the Days Hospital National Conference in 2023, which is to be held in Brisbane.
